Welcome
Feel free to explore these old genes of mine. As you will see, there are some holes in them.
This site was created to share information with others who are interested in the genealogy of these families. If you are related to anyone on this site, please take a moment to register with us. It's free, it's easy, and it allows you to add your own data, photos, notes, recollections, etc. to the site. Hopefully, we can all work together to further our research and add some insight into our ancestors' lives.
I have done my best to provide correct information, and have noted the sources on many, but not all, of the facts. I will continue to update the sources as I can. In the Histories folder there is an interesting news article about Amanda Partin Hesen. Over in the Documents folder you will see the entries in the church register for the marriage of Lewis and Christine in 1818 and the baptism of their son Harmon in 1831. There are numerous items under Photos, too. I will add more to these folders as time goes by.
This is, and will continue to be, a work in progress. My goal is for this site to contain accurate information, and even without registering, you can help. If you have a thread that may fill some of these holes or see something here that is a bad patch,
please contact me. If you use information from this site, please source it or link it back here so others can see the information and suggest corrections and updates, too.
I would like to thank everyone who has shared information in the past - there are too many names to list here, but you know who you are (especially Mimi, Jennifer& Vince).
A big thanks to smartsetpix for permission to use the photo of "Jabba the Jeans" on this website and to Katia & Graham for assisting me with the Help page.
Take a minute to look over the Help page. There's quite a bit you can do on this site, and the help page will explain how to do it all.
Disclaimer: Private data for living individuals is available to registered users only. So far, only my Paternal Line has been added to the site. I will add my Maternal Line (Hicks and Davis) soon. Use at your own risk - remember, my genes do have holes in them.
This site is dedicated with love and gratitude to my parents, my grandparents, my children, and my loving husband.
